Kado Lespwa facilitates this through a crisis management approach that fosters independence through financial aid, education, nutrition, clean water and health care. Our Christ centered work is provided compassionately in a dignified manner for the recipients.

Kado Lespwa is designed to help families in a crisis whether the underlying cause is hunger, extreme malnourishment, poor health, lack of shelter, poverty or simply poor in spirit.

Our goal is to provide the necessary resources and tools to enable such recipient to reach self sufficiency and graduate from our program within 12 months.

Our Mission is to provide immediate relief to the ultra poor in Hinche, Haiti through a crisis management approach that fosters independence through financial aid, education, nutrition, clean water and health care… Our Christ centered work is provided compassionately in a dignified manner for the recipients.

General admission criteria:

  • Father Bourdeau, Dr Hudson, Dr Toth, Laura Sertich and others will define who is admitted into Kado Lespwa program
  • Family, or person must commit to active participation in the program to enable them to graduate in 12 months or sooner
  • Must attend church weekly

Financial Aid

Provide a community based service (church, clinic, Klorfasil, etc.) to be defined

Must attend class regularly
Must remain in good standing in class
Must send copy of grades to Kado Lespwa local administrator

Fundraising

Fundraising is primarily through general donations and the God Parent Program in which Godparents are identified for each family member.

Godparents are identified for each family member

  • $500.00 per each member will provide private school tuition, food and shelter for 12 months
  • A lesser donation for members who are not attending school, etc

Godparents can expect the following from the program administrators

  • 100% of your donation will go directly to this family
  • Ongoing information regarding your Godchild
  • Deliver cards and mail to your Godchild
  • A Case Manager in Hinche who will oversee this program
