September 27, 2019 is the 13th annual HOPE FOR HAITI Gala. It’s amazing how far we have come in the past years of hosting this charitable event and even more amazing what we have accomplished in the past 20 years our relationship with Father Bourdeau and our Twin parish in Hinche. Although Father Bourdeau as moved on, we are now in a new exciting era working with Monsignor Faublaus. Thousands of men, women and children have benefited from our various health care services. Ninety five percent of the monies generously donated on this night will go directly to helping the health of the Haitian people. Missionaries, nurses, dentists and doctors, paying their own way, travel regularly to this remote location ministering to the sick and suffering.
There are approximately 10,000 patients that visit The Whitney Clinic each year. The clinic is open daily and staffed by Dr. Hudson; a native Haitian. Through your generosity we have witnessed the birth of a vibrant medical mission program, a sustainable and fully functional primary care clinic, a world class water treatment program, a medical malnutrition program, and a specialty rescue program for the ultra-poor in the Hinche community. Our newest relationship with Georgia Health Sciences University College of Dental Medicine has allowed us to add restorative dental care and oral surgery to our existing preventive dental health services. All these things, each and every one, are made possible by donors like you.
In an effort to make this year’s 13th annual event an extra special celebration we have moved the venue back to PineIsle Point at Lake Lanier. The theme for the evening “Luau at the Lake”. Yes, it’s a bit more casual with the ladies in Sundresses and the men in Hawaiian Shirts and slacks not to mention a few special fun surprises.
Our goals for the Mission have not changed. We continue to strive to give Haiti the tools it needs to foster her own independence; an independence from poverty, from sickness, from hunger, and from hopelessness. We continue to ask for your help in our efforts to achieve this goal. We cannot thank you enough for your continued generosity, consideration, and gift of Hope.
Please donate your time, treasure or prayer, and make a difference.
