Unlike the United States,
Haiti has no free schools and less than half of all Haitian families can
afford to pay tuition. The result is widespread illiteracy and a
tragic limiting of opportunity for millions of people. One of
the greatest gifts you can give a young person in Haiti is an education.
For that reason, we have started a scholarship program at Sacre Coeur Parish
in Hinche. $400 per year covers tuition, books and a school uniform,
plus a little left over to help meet the child's nutritional needs.
Sponsors will received a photo and the name of their sponsored child.
